Welcome to PAUL - A Taste of French Elegance in Mauritius

Located conveniently at the HM8H+MC2, Plaine Magnien airport, PAUL offers travelers a delightful respite with a taste of authentic French café culture. This charming café is perfect for those on the go or for anyone seeking a moment to savor delicious pastries and sandwiches amidst the hustle and bustle of the airport.

At PAUL, the culinary offerings are a homage to timeless French cuisine. Indulge in a succulent chicken sandwich, praised by patrons for its delightful flavor and fresh ingredients. One customer, Kim Koolash, noted the standout service, highlighting how the warm-hearted attendant, Ashnee, made her meal even more enjoyable by going the extra mile—offering to warm the bread and ensuring the water was just right. It’s these small, thoughtful gestures that elevate your experience at PAUL.

In addition to the sandwiches, guests have expressed their delight over the freshly baked pastries available for takeaway, with one satisfied guest sharing their appreciation for the tasty offerings as they headed to their flight. The rich aroma of coffee fills the air, inviting you to indulge in a delicious cappuccino that has been described as both rich and pleasing to the palate. The café's ambiance strikes a balance between casual and elegant, making it a perfect spot to pause and recharge, whether you're arriving or departing.

While some visitors, like Ihar Beliauski, have found the prices to be on the higher side, they recognize that the quality of the food aligns with PAUL’s established reputation. Ivan K. remarks positively about both café locations in the airport, appreciating the comfort and quality of service in both settings. This showcases PAUL's commitment to maintaining high standards regardless of the busyness of the surroundings.

As you sip your coffee in this bustling transit hub, you’ll find a mix of cozy seating and convenient charging areas, making it easy to stay connected while you indulge in your treats. Whether you're seeking a hearty snack before a journey or a sweet moment of relaxation upon your return, PAUL stands as a beacon of quality and warmth in the ever-busy airport atmosphere.

So next time you're traveling through Mauritius, make sure to stop by PAUL, where you can experience a touch of French culinary artistry, exceptional service, and an inviting atmosphere. Your taste buds deserve this little slice of heaven.

Had a delicious chicken sandwich from Paul’s ( arrival area). It was not crowded and what made the sandwich even better was the warm lady attending ( Ashnee). She kindly offered to warm the bread, made sure the water i ordered was at the right temperature, cut the bread on request.. all with a beautiful smile. So shout out to that young lady. Keep up the excellent job. And thank you Paul for the great standard of the sandwich. Ps : maybe if you could bring down the price, ul hv people queuing up in no time.

My experience at PAUL in the airport was a bit underwhelming. While the sandwiches were undeniably good and up to PAUL’s usual standards, the overall experience left much to be desired. The restaurant is highly overpriced, even by airport standards, which makes it hard to justify the cost. On top of that, it was so crowded that finding a table felt like a challenge in itself, adding unnecessary stress to the dining experience. If you’re looking for a quick bite and don’t mind the price or the hassle of securing a seat, PAUL might be worth it for the food. But for a more relaxed or budget-friendly option, it’s probably better to look elsewhere.

There are actually two cafe Paul at the airport - one at Arrivals areas (small one) and another one at departures but before the passport control (bigger cafe). I’ve visited both and was quite happy with both quality and service. Chicken wraps are good and can be warmed up, cappuccino was good both times as well. There is sitting area with sockets available at the departure zone.
